RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Asset Manager reports directly to the Field Service Manager. Responsible for managing all company asset transfers in the region, as well as customer property drop-of / pick-up at the FMC facility to ensure quality, error-free processes and metrics to meet safety, operational and financial goals. The Asset Management Supervisor is accountable for equipment documentation and tracking, utilization reporting, process control, and master data integrity.

 

MAIN TASKS:

 

  • Responsible for the implementation of processes in relation to fixed assets, and customer property safeguarding.
  • Coordinates and/or conducts fixed assets physical inventories for assigned base.
  • Coordinates with the services lines to provide information, experience, and cost conscious input into capital expenditure AFE’s.
  • Assists in the transfer and/or disposal and sale of assets to ensure the decisions are consistent with business needs.
  • Assists in the transfer and/or disposal, and storage of customer property at the assigned base.
  • Communicates frequently with both service lines and regional management to create a strong customer offering.
  • Attends customer meetings as required by regional manager.
  • Demonstrates accountability when asset support has not been met by the regional requirement.
  • Maintains an accurate list of asset allocated in the region/base.
  • Maintains an accurate list of customer property assets allocated in the region/base.
  • Maintains database of equipment in Asset Management systems with all asset master data requirements, critical asset data, and all required inspection and service maintenance criteria.  Communicates with management to facilitate documentation requirements when needed.
  • Supports and enforces maintenance program for assets.
  • Reports deficiencies on equipment and supplies monthly.
  • Gathers market data through various channels on upcoming equipment requirements. Communicates with the asset team in the service lines to review and provide feedback on AFE’s during the approval process.
  • Observes and demonstrates safety behaviors consistent with FMC Safety polices. Reports unsafe working conditions and behaviors per standard protocol. Takes reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe acts.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prefers a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of asset management techniques and theory.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with solid analytical skills capable of analyzing data and making recommendations.
  • Demonstrated computer skills with proven proficiency in MS office and MS Projects.
  • Effectively use interpersonal and communication skills including tact and diplomacy
  • Effectively use organizational skills with attention to detail and consistent follow through and completion of assigned tasks.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, management, and key stakeholders.

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

 

  • Office environment with frequent trips to field locations. 
  • Some exposure to possible shop hazards including high noise, heavy machinery and shop traffic. 
  • Some visits to customer operations locations including yards and well sites. 
  • 70% working in office environment with extensive computer activity.
  • 30% working offsite, visiting SIS facilities, customer locations, attending industry conferences, working with customers, etc.
  • Travel up to 30% (Domestic and international)
  • Frequent sitting and operating a computer.  Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change.  
  • Occasionally subject to lifting of up to 50 lbs. Some travel for vendor and/or client contact. Travel will mean car and airplane travel.  PPE compatibility required.
