Position Overview

The Commissioning Supervisor supports the fabrication, construction, and start-up and commissioning of the Modular Production Facility. The Commissioning Supervisor will lead the start-up and commissioning activities including planning, budgeting, logistics and all other associated strategies for successful deployment of multiple teams of Field Service Engineers and Field Service Technicians that will be engaged in start-up and commissioning of the Modular Production Facilities. This position interfaces closely with the project execution team (Project Manager and Construction Manager) during all phases of the project and acts as a consultant for estimating, scheduling, project management, project engineering, quality control, and cost control on a regular basis. This role is also a support for QHSE personnel and will be responsible for implementation of safety processes for the Field Service teams on-site performing the execution of start-up and commissioning. You will be a self-motivated field service professional.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Overall management, supervision, and coordination of all Field Service personnel within the assigned unit or area.
  • Overall management, interface, supervision and coordination with (Construction Management, CM and Project Management PM).
  • Ensure start-up and commissioning activities are executed in conformance with safety standards, project drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Control project schedule and cost through the efficient use of all Aftermarket resources including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Provide input for the development of project schedules in cooperation with the construction manager and planners.
  • Ensure that daily and weekly short-range planning is maintained down to the lead Field Service technician level.
  • Monitor productivity and cost and implement appropriate action to maintain maximum labor productivity and cost-effectiveness.
  • Control change/scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of work.
  • Provide technical assistance, interpretation of drawings, and recommendation of construction and measurement methods.
  • Safeguard all property placed in his or her custody.

Position Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation) or equivalent experience.
  • More than 5 years in a Field Service Engineer role with prior experience working in electrical, mechanical, or similar vocational training preferred.
  • More than 5 years in a Field Supervisor role, with prior experience managing Field Service Technicians at the project site.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Must possess superior electronic and/or mechanical repair aptitude. Familiarity with microprocessor based circuitry and programming techniques. Leadership capability and good aptitude. Knowledge of various aspects of a Field Service.
  • Basic understanding of Flow Measurement, Engineering practices, design methods & calculations. Knowledge of PC, Windows, Office Software and IT implementation background.
  • Oil and Gas Industry Safety Standards and requirements. Hands on Service experience.
  • Capable to Read, interpret & prepare applicable technical information. Control systems knowledge and maintenance of PLC and PC based control systems. We have experience with mechanical equipment like, pipelines, Valves, Pumps and other mechanical equipment with moving parts.

Time will be spent both in an office environment and at the field/construction site within a petroleum environment.  Will be exposed to high noise, heavy machinery. PPE is required when in the field.


Long periods of standing, moving about and around equipment at the various construction sites. Travel required.
