The Manager Compensation and Benefits role exists to develop, manage, implement and administer compensation and benefits programs, through direct team supervision and/or individual contributions. The Manager Compensation and Benefits position will work in the Global Total Rewards Centre of Expertise, supporting the area HR functions business objectives. The role covers the Americas area, including the United States, Brazil and Colombia, and will support the global businesses of Onshore PT, Onshore EPC and Genesis, with the assistance of the local C&B experts. The manager is responsible for the execution of complex compensation, benefits, and mobility processes, policies and procedures, for providing expertise to address escalated complex inquiries. He/She owns and delivers continuous improvement of compensation and benefits administration, vendor management, operational reporting, and service management.  This is a management role requiring a minimum of ten years’ direct experience in compensation administration or equivalent experience with 5 years managerial responsibility.

Job description

• Lead and develop compensation and benefits staff through objective and priority setting, performance management and department supervision.
• Develop and oversee the area’s compensation and benefit plans and programs , ensuring statutory compliance, cost effectiveness and alignment with Company’s compensation and benefits philosophy and guidelines.
• Participate in salary surveys, conducts and/or purchases exempt and non-exempt salary surveys and interpret results to identify the Company’s competitive pay position in markets where it operates and recommends solution.
• Monitor effectiveness of current compensation programs. This includes evaluating cost, market conditions, employee satisfaction and efficiency of administration.
• Ensure the strategy of these programs aligns with the corporate mission.
• Seek opportunities to enhance the system operations through automation of work processes.
• Implement Corporate initiatives including Global Job Slotting, short term and long term incentives.
• Lead compensation communication projects directed at internal and external stakeholders at all levels in collaboration with the corporate team.
• Manage existing and potential relationships with compensation and benefit vendors, including but not limited to consultants and data providers.
• Coordinate and lead inter-departmental projects related to compensation and benefits, including but not limited to Accounting and Finance, Legal and IT.
• Oversee development of job descriptions and maintenance of global compensation data and structures in Company HRIS database.
• Develop documents and reports as necessary to conduct business. Develop techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data
• Develop processes for new position pricing and market salary reviews.
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
• Provides advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs.
• Perform complex analysis of data to support decisions and conclusions.

 
You are meant for this job if


• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in compensation with 5 years management experience.
• Experience with leading international projects and working with project plans.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of compensation and benefit practices and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of benefit plan, design and administration
• Strong knowledge of FLSA, EEO and IRS regulations
• Strong collaborator skilled at building credibility and effective work and professional relationships
• Strategic agility. Forecast future alternatives, consequences, trends and advise management of necessary changes
• Excellent communication and project management skills. Demonstrate ability to adapt communication styles to audiences and possess a strong sense of detail and urgency in results delivery
• Understanding of relational database systems and their application to enterprise software.
• Experience in HR information systems (Oracle and SAP)
• Oil and Gas industry experience preferred
• International compensation experience and familiarity with Global Mobility programs
