Director of FP&A - REMS


Job Description

This is a key financial planning and analysis management role within the Research, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain (REMS) organization. Will report to the VP of Finance and will work closely to the local REMS FP&A teams and site controllers to ensure overall accurate and timely financial reporting, ultimately enabling pursuit of operational efficiency and cost optimization. The position will be based in Houston. The role offers engagement with over 15+ sites, multiple ERP’s & consolidation systems, multiple business units spanning all segments. The role offers multiple opportunities for visibility to higher level management and provides several avenues for growth.


Main Tasks:


·         Defines reporting requirements and timetable for the business in conjunction with the Global Operations Controller to meet all corporate reporting requirements for actuals, forecast and budget cycles.


·         Acts pro-actively and independently in the best interests of the REMS FP&A function to ensure timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting, by collecting and analysing financial and non-financial data related to OpEx, P&L and B/S.


·         Tracks actual results against forecast and budget, pursues explanations and clear understanding of variances. With that spirit, consolidates the Flash report tracking monthly actuals and the Forecast submission (P&L, Walk, R&O, Capex, WC)


·         Reconciles key accounts and challenges local FP&A teams and site controllers on any potential inconsistency. In parallel, supports local FP&A teams and site controllers, providing training and clarifications if needed.


·         Works along with the Global Operations Controllers on quarterly closing, scheduling and taking part of the B/S and P&L review, as well as verifying submission in REP, reconciliation to HFM, PJT and P&L view and backlog reconciliation.


·         Supports consolidation of the OpEx report and further developments to enhance data collection, broadly disclosing the OpEx financials to the REMS organization through Power BI, and reconciling main KPIs between OpEx report and REP submission.


You are meant for this job if:


Educational/Professional:


·         Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.


Knowledge/Skills: 


·         The ability to work in a developing matrix environment with a multi-national team.


Experience: 

       


·         Minimum 5 years of cost accounting or FP&A related experience.  Functional understanding of operations working with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle
