PURPOSE:

 

Overall drilling service management and direction of drilling service operations in the Permian region of the United States.  Responsible for leading all drilling service technicians, coordinators, supervisors, and managers to secure customer success, and error-free operations. Further, responsible for the portion of P&L as well as performance of key HSE requirements and environment programs, quality management, and administration at multiple field operations within the region.

 

Additional Operational tasks include, but are not limited to the following: distribution, gross profit, inventory management, equipment demand management (S&OP), service performance, human resources, development and implementation of operational standards.

 

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience.  MBA preferred

·         5 – 7 years of experience in leadership roles, preferably within the energy sector (Surface field service operations)

·         Demonstrates a high degree of initiative, judgment and resourcefulness with the ability to find creative solutions to multi-faceted and/or time sensitive problems.

·         Demonstrates the ability to deal with numerous and changing priorities and to proactively address issues relating to personnel, capital, facilities, processes and profitability.

·         Solid business/financial acumen

·         Strong technical and customer knowledge (relevant to the service line)

·         Proven experience in managing relationships with internal/external business partners.

·         PC skills with knowledge of MS Office products and the ability to optimize the use of technology and systems to streamline processes and increase efficiency.

·         Must have a functional understanding of performance metrics.

·         Must be customer focused with a strong commitment to Customer Success.

·         Understands operational commitments and impact on related area.

·         Strong leader, with demonstrated ability to plan, organize and execute

·         Exceptional organization skills with a high attention to detail in base operations, material planning, service management, and financial environments

·         Knowledge and experience with ISO 9002, EPA, and OSHA requirements

 

RELATIONSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct reports include all field service personnel including: managers, supervisors, coordinators, and technicians within the defined region. 

 

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Lead, direct and oversee all drilling field operations in the region

·         Markets the drilling Service Department through frequent customer contact, both in an office environment and on field locations.  Participates in presentations and technical discussions when required.

·         Ultimate responsibility on planning field installations ensuring that the proper tools, spares, backup equipment and personnel are available; helps Regional Planner with Inventory Management and logistics management.

·         Assists in scheduling assignments of Drilling Service Technicians to ensure the best match of individual capabilities and competency to project requirements.  Assists with logistics (travel, parts, etc.)

·         Coordinates the Well File Management Program and ensures that all service work is properly documented showing tasks carried out, procedures, equipment and parts used and any problems that occurred.

·         Ensures that all employees are trained and monitors field practices to ensure compliance with safety procedures.

·         Oversees the Competency Management Process by maintaining records for skill assessments, documentation, testing and log book management.

·         Maintains a competitor database for all services, including market share, service/product performance and cost/pricing position

·         Leads, coaches, trains and mentors current drilling service technicians.

·         Supports, sustains and continues to improve TechnipFMC Technologies HSE performance objectives.

·         Determines field-maintenance requirements and procedures and deploy QA resources to ensure conformance

·         Responsible in assembling annual regional budget information.

·         Prepares and submits for approval, running procedures and manuals on each piece of equipment.  Maintains and updates above

·         Review regional financial statements and provide feedback.

·         Work towards achieving all key financial objectives established within budget.

·         Facilitates and monitors key financial performance indicators to ensure profitability of field operations.
