PURPOSE:

Summarize briefly the major function and purpose of the position.

Technical Service Personnel - Be fully responsible & accountable for Safety of self and others. Holds safety, quality of workmanship and efficiency as values. Contributes actively to all safety systems such as safety meetings, START cards. Contributes actively to Engineer's Reading File. Achieve target utilization of 17 days/month. Contribute actively to eFNCR / MOC process. Supervise wellhead and Xmas Tree installations, maintenance and repair operations as required by the company at well site locations, onshore and offshore. Pre-job preparation of wellhead equipment and trees. Testing & Servicing of wellheads and valves. Attendance at customer FAT’s. Well Surveys to assess condition and record information. Inspect and assess wellhead installation tools. Carrying out the following mechanical services on wellheads and Xmas Trees.

  • Bolt Torqueing
  • Casing Cutting
  • Seized wellhead bolt cutting
  • Onsite Machining / hot tapping
  • Seized Lock Down Screw tip removal
  • Sealant deployment
  • Plugging and Plugging work

Be prepared to travel locally and internationally to other regions as required. Be prepared to work unsupervised as required. Drive self-development to become knowledgeable of all products & services. Any other reasonable duties as and when instructed by your superiors.

 
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

What are the minimum qualifications an employee must have in order to perform the duties of the position (i.e. educational requirements, licenses, certification, work experience, training, etc.)?

  1. Successfully complete SST.
  2. Graduate Engineer or equivalent trade qualifications
  3. Around 3 years oil field equipment service experience, Direct Wellhead experience preferable.
  4. Pressure testing experience is a big advantage
  5. Good spoken English, confident communicator
  6. Willingness to work long hours when necessary to meet customer requirements
  7. Valid driver's license
  8. Valid passport
  9. Medically fit to work On and Offshore (Should not be overweight)

RELATIONSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:

Indicate positions that report directly to this position.   Number of direct / indirect reports.

None however manages rig crew and provided assistants to install wellhead and Xmas Tree components and then verify the correct installation.

 

Indicate internal/external contacts and purpose of contacts.

  1. Frequent team-working with other Field Service technicians / Rig Crews and Helpers
  2. Frequent interaction with Services Coordinators /Operations Supervisors / Services Admin
  3. Some contact with MMR, HSE, Warehouse
 

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITY:

Explain the degree of supervision/guidance, procedures/ processes used, judgement, creativity, planning & resourcefulness needed to do the job. 

Will work under the supervision of the Services Coordinators and Operations Supervisor.  The amount of guidance given will depend on the experience level of the Field Services Technician All work performed will be join with engineered procedures

How are errors detected and what is possible impact of those errors?

  • Impact of errors is increased costs, missed delivery dates and damaged reputation of the company
  • Rig operations Shut down / loss of business

Assembling equipment making use of ICP/ DBI’s and drawings

Field installation of equipment making use of ICP/ DBI’s and drawings

Assisting and performing with make-up assembly

Pressure testing according to API / TechnipFMC requirements

Greasing of equipment

E

Good housekeeping (5S) and conformance to all HSE policies and procedures

E

Loading and unloading trucks using forklift

E

Field maintenance of TechnipFMC equipment making use of ICP/ DBI’s and drawings

E

Report and Record all procedure change within MOC process

E

Report and Record all Field non conformance with eFNCR process

E

Reporting of all field activity through Job log / job report and FSO
