DEPARTMENT:

·         Finance/Accounting

POSITION PURPOSE:  

·         To lead the Surface US business unit in financial reporting, general accounting and transactional accounting related to Accounts Receivable, Credit and Collections. 

 

POSITION DUTIES:  

·         Lead the regional controller team in monthly forecasting, monthly financial statements and regional and base specific reporting and analysis.

·         Lead the Accounts Receivable team in AR, Credit and Collections process. 

·         Lead month-end, quarter-end, year-end processes and reporting (including HFM and REP).  Ensure all internal and external reporting obligations are met timely.

·         Lead in coordinating activities with shared services.

·         Leading various teams on financial processes, Sarbanes-Oxley activities, internal controls testing and improvement, and to liaison with auditors both internal and external for areas of responsibility

·         Lead in ensuring compliance with financial principles, policies, procedures and standards for compliance to US GAAP, IFRS, legal, statutory, tax and corporate requirements

·         Identifies and resolves situations not in compliance with TechnipFMC internal controls and recommends solution and assists or leads in the implementation.

·         Oversee project accounting

·         Lead continues improvement efforts in finance and business processes.  Development on monitoring of KPI’s

·         Ensure that our targeted working capital / capital employed results are met

·         Ensure that US operations understand and are following all financial standards and policies.

·         Ensure compliance with public company corporate governance, SOX and DoA requirements.

·         Provide day to day management, direction, development, leadership and support to direct reports.

·         Motivate the Accounts Receivable team to perform at a high level and provide training and coaching as necessary

·         Assess, develop and review control procedures as it relates to the accounting and financial activities

·         Frequent contact with internal customers to present financial performance and to resolve problems.

·         Prepares high-level analysis, interpretation of analysis and reports results to management for use in managing and controlling operations.  Identifies issues needing further review and or attention and proposes resolutions.

·         Assist with special projects as needed

·         Works with broad discretion on assignments of varied, diverse and difficult in nature.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.   

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, MBA/CPA preferred.

·         Minimum of ten years accounting experience, and two years of supervisory experience.  Prior accounting experience in SAP required. 

·         Computer skills include knowledge of word processing, proficiency with spreadsheets and database applications.  Experience in implementing accounting systems, methods, procedures and controls. 

·         Demonstrated ability to solve problems and to design process improvements to correct broken processes. 

·         Demonstrated solid ability to work independently and solve complex, non-recurring problems.  Demonstrated leadership/supervisor ability. 

·         Strong communication skills.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  

·         Training - Department/Local Operating Instructions, Financial Standards.  Continuing education to maintain professional designations, cross-functional training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

·         Spends 50% - 90% of time in a temperature-controlled environment (office, airport, airplane).  Spends up to 10% - 25% of time traveling to base locations and may be exposed to possible hazards including high noise, heavy machinery and inclement weather.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

·         Frequent sitting and operating a computer and meeting with customers.  Some of the time could be standing and moving while counting inventory or assets.
