The IT Manufacturing Specialist is responsible for the successful support and implementation of existing and new information technology solutions, as well as enhancements driven by local business improvements and solution lifecycles. The IT Manufacturing Specialist is assisted by the various IT delivery teams and a network of IT Manufacturing Specialists. 



  • Work with affiliated business stakeholders and development teams related to manufacturing and ensure effective communication regarding issue resolution and the impact of system changes.
  • Lead and execute a variety of projects at designated manufacturing locations and works closely with local production engineering, manufacturing, planning, procurement, logistics/warehouse and Information Technology groups to meet business needs and maximize information technology’s effectiveness.
  • Provide technical guidance for the execution of local initiatives and with related global efforts.
  • Function as a focal point for the definition, design, installation, operation, and maintenance of IT applications and infrastructure.
  • Work together with the existing local production engineering related resources and assist with the development of standards, preferred practices, procedures, and improvements.
  • Involved with IT testing, installation, consulting, and training and will also participate in resolving chronic or difficult problems affecting production flows.
  • Define and review project scopes to ensure alignment with local standards, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Provide business process analysis support. Including process mapping, functional analysis, and implementation strategies while identifying areas of continuous improvement to support business processes with Lean thinking.
  • Coordinate and lead audits, perform data analysis, risk assessments, and help develop mitigation measures.
  • Ensure that cyber-security policies and procedures are applied and implemented.



  • Bachelor’s degree required, CIS degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience working with IT Applications and infrastructure.  Experience working in an industrial environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability providing strategic leadership, change management, technical knowledge and effective communications, teamwork and managerial agility.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple diverse issues.
  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required.
  • Knowledge of discrete production / lean manufacturing preferred.
  • Exposure to SAP ECC\S4 or Oracle EBS in a Manufacturing, Warehouse, and procurement is desirable

·         Must possess a valid DL.


Travel may be required up to 10-20% overall, at times heavier or lighter.  Frequent evening and/or early morning calls.  Office environment with frequent time spent in the manufacturing shop environment as well. Exposed to possible hazards such as heavy equipment and loud noise.



Spends 50% of time sitting and operating a computer or workstation.  Spends 50% of time lifting, pushing, and walking.
