Job Purpose

• Manage all Project Cost activities

• Develops, maintains and communicates project budget, trends and cost forecast as well as revenues and margin

• Highlights areas of concerns and solutions to help to achieve successful and timely completion of Projects

 

Main accountabilities

• Management of the project Cost control team

• Preparation and presentation of Project Management Report (PMR) monthly to the company Senior Management

• Estimates Total Forecasts, Quantity / Costs and Expected Outcomes

• Highlights areas of concerns and solutions to the Project Managers to optimize and improve completion of projects, and budgets

 

• Support to Finance on hedging of foreign exchange rates risks

• Contribute to lessons learned through the project

• Supports the set up and maintenance of the project revenues and costs measurement systems and reporting data

• Approves commitment control and vendor/subcontractors invoice

• Prepares change orders / claims, and follows up

• Develops statistical and close-out reports, with a view towards improving feedback data and estimation tools on future contracts / proposals

• Complies with and implements both company and client HSE Management System objectives and procedures, as well as Quality standards and policies, and other applicable company procedures

 

Job scope

• Leads a team of more than 2 people on Cost control on major projects (scope EPCI and Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) projects/ phases scope; type of contract: Lumpsum up to 1 billion USD)

Directly supervises Cost Controllers, Cost Engineers

Internally interacts with Project Director, Project Engineering, Procurement, Construction teams, Finance and other internal departments as required

Externally interacts with Client and potentially with subcontractors and vendors

 

Typical Profile/ Must have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent

• Ideally 5 to 10 years of experience as a Cost Control Engineer or in other Project Control discipline (Estimating, Scheduling)

• Professional English

• Knowledge of cost control tools and methodologies

• Solid analytical and problem solving skills

• Establish good relationship and cooperation with colleagues in the project team
