Job description


Hierarchically reports to the Head of Planning & Scheduling Department and operationally reports to the Project Director/Manager, Project Control Manager or Proposal Manager, you will: 

  • define the project schedule objectives and resources.
  • pilot the project schedule and ensure the forecast is reliable.
  • ensure a role of an advisor to the project / proposal management.
  • directly operationally supervises planning and scheduling engineers.
Key interactions:
Main Responsibilities: 
  • Implements the Planning and Scheduling system (methods, procedures, time-schedules, physical progress, dashboard, …),
  • Manage day-to-day a team of planning & scheduling engineers, coordinate interfaces with technical disciplines leads involved and train young engineers if needed,
  • Defines the Project breakdown structures,
  • Increases the project team members awareness of the Project Milestones, main durations and critical paths,
  • Monitor the Project status, to detect any delay and proposes corrective actions as and when necessary,
  • Estimates the delay linked with changes and claims and to prepare the Extension of Time analysis, in case of delay due to Client,
  • Plans to ensure the work front at site,
  • Plans in order to mitigate risks and reduce costs. 

You are meant for this job if you have/ are: 

  • Experience in the engineering project in Oil and Gas,
  • More than 10 years of professional experience in planning and scheduling,
  • Flexible in thinking and action,
  • Rigorous,
  • Systematic and methodical approach in working,
  • Natural skills to set up good networking and Team spirit,
  • Natural leadership,
  • Organized to work with efficiency in a time constraint environment,
  • Solid oral and written communication skills in English. 
Nice to have:
  • Experience in management exposure,
  • Digital culture,
  • Background in a technical engineering discipline.
