We are looking for a self-driven Manufacturing Engineer with strong leadership in leading a team of Machining Specialists to support the daily needs of manufacturing execution.  The Manufacturing Engineer will drive improvements in manufacturing process and recommends best practice.

 

The Manufacturing Engineering Lead will be the focal point for planning and leading the team to deliver Manufacturing Engineering output per the requirements set by both upstream and downstream functions.

 

The candidate shall be one who is persistent in driving LEAN methodology, implementing improvement projects to continually elevate the team to perform and think LEAN, enabling the team to continue delivering output of the highest standard, with minimal waste.

 

The candidate should be one who is savvy in Industry 4.0, Smart Factories, digitalization; capable of identifying and proposing areas where technology can be applied to both the Manufacturing Engineering and/or Production environment to digitalize Manufacturing, adding value to the bottom line.

 

The candidate shall be one who possesses excellent communication skills, collaborative traits, conflict management techniques; all of which are essential in effectively leading the function in this highly dynamic environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

·        Ability to train others in the application of manufacturing/engineering practices.

·        Acts as a quality improvement lead.

·        Strives for operational efficiency, quality and cost reduction through lean and manufacturing engineering improvement programs.

·        Help and coach process owners to improve their skills.

·        Supporting vendor machining capabilities.

·        Works closely with Design Engineering in the review of work scope for product offerings.

·        Acts as the approving manufacturing entity for all drawings and documentation.

·        Subject Matter Expert in machining.

·        Oversees machining engineering process and ensuring its effectiveness

·        Introduce & implement cost effective processes and technology improvements

·        Support QN investigation & Preventive actions

·        Lead in the participation of best practice team/technologies improvement etc.

·        Prepare AFE for new machines/tools

·        Involve in audits (Adherence to codes & specs)

·        Machining engineering support for other EMS locations/Vendors

·        Perform supplier audit

 

 

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

·        At least 5 year(s) of working experience in large manufacturing environment preferably Oil &Gas/Aerospace.

·        Proven work experience in DFx, LEAN, NX CAM, Vericut and Manufacturing Engineering systems.

·        Demonstrated ability to independently create and implement functional and cost-effective processes.

·        Demonstrated understanding of GD & T requirements.

·        Basic Knowledge in SAP, MOM & Lean systems
