The Mechanical Assembly Technician performs complex mechanical and hydraulic assembly work. Tasks require a high level of skill with a variety of hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and machinery. The Mechanical Assembly Technician performs a variety of operations, including troubleshooting and rework, requiring a sufficient understanding of the functional operation of the items that are assembled as well as the finished product.

• Follow Standardized Work practices.
• Performs highly complex mechanical and hydraulic assemblies from detailed blueprints and verbal/written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Performs Initial incoming evaluations and final repair on LRU(Lowest Replaceable Unit) assemblies returned from the customer.
• Performs Initial incoming evaluations and final repair on RMA (Return merchandise Authorization) assemblies returned from the customer.
• Performs troubleshooting activities on a variety of highly complex mechanical assemblies for Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) and Tether Management Systems (TMS).
• Performs inspections of mechanical assemblies to ensure it matches assembly prints and work instructions
• Periodically performs engineering mechanical prototype builds
• Perform a variety of warehouse functions.
• Incorporates problem solving and process improvements into work flow.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly experience
• Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, bill of materials and schematics
• Ability to proficiently use a variety of hand tools and precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and bore micrometers
• Intermediate Microsoft Word, Outlook and Internet Explorer skills (Familiarity with SharePoint preferred)
• Ability to work overtime

Physical Requirements
• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, listen and speak for long periods of time.
• Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, and lift.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Regular, repetitive arm/hand motion
• Work on concrete floors, wearing steel toes boots up to 8-12 hours a day.
