Process Engineer Intern


The primary role of the Process engineer intern would be to support SME's and lead on active projects.

Job description
  • Primary function on the project would be to support the lead engineer in various oil and gas Process engineering activities.
  • Support the projects leads in activities ranging from conceptual stages of the project to operations support.
  • Cross train and develop skills in new trades within the team like process , Process safety, flow assurance etc.
  • There will be a lot of on job training opportunities in a very open environment, but the training progress would depend on self-initiative.
  • Some cross training options include, process safety, Flow Assurance, Development Planning.
  • Should be able to apply industry/engineering standards
  • Apply the general working knowledge and fundamentals in the areas of thermodynamics, loss prevention and risk assessment, Process/hydraulics, materials/corrosion, instrumentation and controls, measurement and metering, and rotating equipment.
  • Apply fundamental knowledge of selection, design, performance evaluation and debottlenecking/troubleshooting of vessels (separators, towers), heat exchangers, piping, control valves, PSVs and other safety systems.

You are meant for this job if

  • Years of Experience:0-3 years
  • Education Requirements: Senior level pursing, Bachelor of Science (Master of Science preferred) in Chemical Engineering or relevant fields
  • Soft skill Qualifications: Self-starter, open minded, disciplined, focused, results driven, good written and verbal skills, Required
  • Experience in R, Python, Data Science, Preferred 
  • Thorough understanding of crude oil and natural gas processing and treatment, Preferred 
  • Fundamental knowledge of design and simulation (HYSYS/Unisim) of processing facilities/systems and equipment, Preferred 
  • Familiarity with PHA-Pro, PHAST, Flaresim software packages would be a plus, Preferred 
  • 3.0 GPA or Higher, Required
