Roles and Responsibilities: 
 
Within Project Control Documentation Service, attached to the Engineering Division
Reporting to the Head of Service and to the Engineering Manager on Project, the Project Lead Document Controller is in charge to put in place the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and manage the overall project documentation as per Client requirements and Project execution Plan. Your role is to :
 
  • Analyze the Client’s requirements to execute the projet
  • Define with the Project Engineering Manager specific instructions to Engineering Disciplines and other participants regarding the documentation to be supplied to the Client and the documentation to be obtained from Vendors, Subcontractors…
  • Be the focal point for the Project, Partners and Client
  • Define the Interfaces with the Client, the Partners, Disciplines and the Site
  • Define the workflows
  • Define the document control organization and prepares the document management procedures
  • Staff the DC organization with appropriate resources and defines the job tickets of document control operators
  • Supervise Document Control Project Team
  • Manage the allocated budget
  • Put in place and manages the engineering subcontracting (internally and externally)
  • Consolidate Business reports with analysis
  • Define the processus for client’s comments management
  • Define the processus and monitor the preparation of the final documentation and “As-Built” documentation
  • Provide feedbacks
  • Prepare and issue a Project Close out Report covering document control aspects
 
 
Qualification and Education Requirements
 
  • Candidate must possess at least a 5 years technical/university degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Management or Record Management.
  • At least 6 years’ experience in Document Control activities in oil and gas engineering.
  • Good in workload management skills and has an experience in leadership or people management.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Disciplined, organized and responsive
  • Excellent command of the English language, both orally and written
  • Flexible and independent team player, both in the projects and in the base organization
  • Ability to understand and apply complex procedures.
  • Ability to perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives and make or recommend sound decisions.
  • Ability to supervise effectively and coordinate the resources available for an effective program.
  • Understands work product and services provided by the company
  • To be mobile for short duration trips
