Region Controller    
The Region Controller’s primary role is to partner with the Western U.S. Regional Manager, and each of the direct report base managers, to ensure that all financial activity is reported timely and accurately. Additionally, to provide financial guidance during forecasting and budgeting to support achievement of the region’s financial targets.

 
Job description        
  • Facilitates communications, problem resolution and provides appropriate feedback, both positive and corrective, within the team.       
  • In coordination with the Asset and Inventory teams, support internal control activities with regards to maintaining accurate asset and inventory ledgers, including assisting in performing physical counts, when required.
  • Prepares high-level analysis, interpretation of analysis and reports results to management for use in managing and controlling operations. Identifies issues needing further review and or attention and proposes resolutions.
  • Support the region in developing and monitoring performance against KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with public company corporate governance, SOX and DoA requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial principles, policies, procedures and standards for compliance to US GAAP, IFRS, legal, statutory, tax and corporate requirements.
  • Complete month-end journal entries in a timely fashion.
  • Support the region in forecasting and financial analysis/reporting for all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting periods as well as any ad-hoc needs within the region. 
You are meant for this job if      
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • Minimum three to five years of related accounting or financial analysis experience.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (esp. Excel).
  • Ability to work independently and to solve non-recurring problems.
  • Good level of analytical ability and attention to detail.       
  • Good communication skills to interact with all levels of management and peers of various backgrounds.   
  • Demonstrates leadership potential, organization and time management.      
  • TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:  
o   Local Operating Procedures, Required HSE training, Advanced Personal Computer and Systems Training, Cross-functional training through special projects. Completes all training assigned in a timely manner.    

  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SAP Experience
  • MBA
  • CPA / CMA 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Spends 50% - 90% of time in a temperature-controlled environment (office, airport, airplane).
  • Spends up to 25% - 50% of time traveling to base locations and warehouse/assembly facility.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

Frequent sitting and operating a computer and meeting with clients.  Some of the time could be standing and moving while counting inventory or assets.
