Department function:

 

 To control the flow of all inventory on TUFMC INC Site, ensuring materials are in the right location at the right time as well as the management of storage locations and to plan all short-term planning and reporting of TUI manufacturing planning activities.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

Main function of Job:

Scheduling: To plan then report manufacturing activities and updates for TUI site using Primavera P6.

Logistics: responsible for ensuring all process and component reels are available for production and suppliers and are fit for purpose at point of use. Responsible for all movements on site. Role may also be taking on responsibility for the management of Installation reels.

 

Main Duties:

  • Interface with Production, Planning, Shipping and Process Engineering to forecast and analyse the type and quantity requirements for process reels.

  • Interface with Suppliers, Procurement and Stores on the scheduling / sequencing and logistics of bought in umbilical raw materials and functional components to include supplier reel requirements

  • With the materials co-ordinator calculate component and filler length requirements for all new projects and communicate results for order placement

  • Allocate Process Reels to projects in line with current demand and component requirements considering capacity constraints

  • Manage all movements of reels and components to and from TU Ltd offsite storage facilities ensuring that all movements are labelled/logged as per the department’s procedures

  • Ensure that all process reels are inspected and maintained in line with the Reel Maintenance procedure

  • Sequence manufacturing activities for production schedule

  • Prepare and issue Umbilical and Applications schedule

  • Hold weekly Stakeholders meeting and any other recurring meetings that are mutually agreed by Global Planning Manager and Channelview Site Manager

  • Report Progress via P6 updates on a Monday.

  • Report any risk identified from Manufacturing performance.

  • Manage and appraise direct reports.

     

     

    In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.

    Performance Measurement

     

    The individual performance and assessment criteria shall be established during the annual appraisal assessment between the employing Manager and jobholder.

     

    Objectives and targets shall be assigned during the appraisal interview that the jobholder has to achieve in order to demonstrate competent performance.

     

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities

     

    Material Coordinator, Warehouse Technicians and Planning

     

     

Health & Safety Responsibilities

 

It is the policy of TUI to apply appropriate and effective QHS&E Management System including training and development of people on all contracts in a manner that is consistent with requirements in order to provide products and services that conform to specification and are fit for their intended purpose in terms of performance, safety and reliability.

 

The implementation of this policy is the responsibility of all Departments, but the particular responsibility and authority to exercise control over all QHS&E disciplines is delegated to the QHS&E Manager and his staff.

 

 

Tools& Equipment Used

 

General office equipment, factory plant and machinery

 

 

Working Conditions/Degree of Effort Required

 

  • Able to sit for long periods
  • Able to walk in an industrial setting
  • General office and Factory environment.  Some degree of effort may be required

 

 

Qualifications/Experience Required

 

  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment and understanding of the technical aspect of the manufacturing process.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 would be beneficial

 

 

Competencies/Skills Required

 

  • Think and Act with safety in mind
  • Computer literacy (spreadsheets, databases, and planning tools).
  • Careful systematic approach to tasks
  • Confidence in approaching others for information
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
  • Very good communication (in English) and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to proof read documents & figures accurately
