Senior Cost Controller

Due to continued growth we are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Cost Controller with a solid Oil and Gas background to join our team. Reporting to the Cost Control Manager you will be allocated to a project and responsible for supporting the Project Controls function driving best practice in project reporting through cost analysis and control activities.

Job description:
  • Develop project execution budgets in accordance with the tender estimate and WBS.
  • Liaise with engineering, contracts and procurement functions to maintain the awareness of project activities and their impact on the project forecast.
  • Monitor and report on project status, expenditures versus budget, estimate to complete, schedule updates and progress against baselines.
  • Provide mentoring, leadership and direction to the project team and junior cost control team members.
  • Support the implementation of the risk and opportunity process on the project, including reviewing contingencies.
  • Monitor project foreign currencies through cashflow forecasting and advise the Project Manager, Cost Control Manager and Treasury team of any exposures.
  • Supporting improvement activities and sharing knowledge skills and best practice.
You are meant for this job if you:
  • Have a business/Engineering qualification and/or relevant experience
  • Extensive Cost Control experience
  • Are able to work well under pressure with multiple competing deadlines with changing requirements
  • Have a commercial mindset demonstrating practical business acumen
  • The ability to influence and lead in driving change in the organization
  • Are an excellent communicator, with significant experience in written and oral reports and presentations to high-level management
  • Have the ability to handle several medium size projects (EPC, EPCI, EPCIC) or one large size complex reimbursable projects
  • Are able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities
  • Have the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel & Power Point), Internet and E-Mail are required
