We are looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant with Subject Matter Expertise in GL (RTR) & AR, will join as Chief Manager /  Senior Manager – F&A Operations (GL & AR): Pyramid Lead who can join our multicultural team in GBS- Noida, India.
 
Job description
 
Key Activities:
 
Looking for an experienced professional who can lead F&A Operations Delivery, drive results & sustain/improve VOC (Voice Of Customer) for all in-scope GBUs. Provide leadership and direction at GBS to implement transformational plans, continuous improvement plans and operational excellence frameworks. Strong Domain knowledge in F&A with experience of managing and leading transformation projects.
 
Reporting Lines  

 (i) Functionally Reports To        Tower Head
 (ii) Operationally Reports To      Tower Head
 (iii) Directly Supervises F&A Operations Team

Key Interactions

Customer Accounting / Finance Teams, Auditors, Tax Consultants, Group Consolidation Team, Internal Customers and Business Stakeholders

Main responsibilities:

  • Build, develop and Manage F&A Operations team ( 40 + FTEs )
  • Supervise and ensure timely Monthly close process for entities and activities in scope
  • Supervise the production of Financial statements and Management reports
  • Compliance with relevant Statutory , Internal control & Group / Corporate requirements
  • Ensure process excellence, harmonization and efficiency, Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement, processes efficiency through innovative solutions
  • Manage high satisfaction level service delivery for existing and future clients and ensure relationship, including escalation process
  • Develop and driving best practices framework and benchmarking for RTR/AR/IC
  • Strong knowledge in General ledger, Cash & Bank management, Accounts Receivable, Financial reporting, Budgeting and Project management
  • Groom the teams and provide them a positive platform to perform and improve
  • Assess and forecast staffing requirements based on client communication and incoming volume, maintain cost effective and stable workforce to absorb volume volatility
  • Responsible for attendance across client teams, Development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documentation to ensure uniformity across teams and processes Transition Management
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles for O2C/RTR/IC
  • Should be well versed with new trends in F&A and specifically GL/AR & IC
  • Tech Savvy, able to work with systems and able to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Self-driven with good organizational and time management skills to deal with multiple deliverables and tight timelines
 
You are meant for this job if:
 
  • The candidate should be -
  • Chartered Accountant with 13+ years of Post Qualification experience in managing F&A GL & AR Operations / Practice including finalization of Statutory Financial Statements, interaction with statutory auditors and MIS reports.
  • Must possess blended Experience with: MNC Shared Services and Big 4 Accounting Firm
  • The candidate must have experience in following -
  • Strong F&A subject knowledge for R2R / GL & OTC Tower
  • Leading Preparation of Financial statements, including Account Analysis and handling of Statutory / Internal audits
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in US GAAP , IFRS , IND AS
  • Knowledge and Experience of other Country GAAP would be a plus
  • Ensuring compliance with controls around the clients’ / suppliers Accounting processes and support audits (internal and/or external).
  • Ensure Receivable/Payable for accuracy and compliance to standards and procedures.
  • Ensure compliances and arrange inputs appropriately as required by customer entity
  • Exposure in ERP ( SAP / Oracle ) environment.
  • Exposure in Group Financial Consolidation / Closing / HFM reporting IFRS/USGAAP
  • Strong Client / People Management Skills, Sound Leadership Competencies  - Driving Results , Mentoring and Coaching - to be able to drive change in the organization
  • Exposure to Business Excellence and Process Transitions
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills. Must be innovative and decisive
  • Ability to visualize and oversee the design of new concepts and ideas related to the broader organization as well as functional area of expertise
  • Ability to Handle a team of Core RTR/OTC Professionals.
  • Capability to act as a Focal point of contact for managing relationships and will be accountable for leading, controlling and monitoring all GL/AR/IC activities for all GBUs Globally
  • Hands-on experience working in offshore /onshore delivery model

  • RTR (GL) /AR/IC expertise from outsourcing industry preferably Shared Services
  • Understanding of F&A tools (SAP/Oracle, ARM, MS Office, Blackline, AssureNet, Hyperion - HFM/ BPC 10 etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and decision-making skills in order to manage and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders
  • Able to produce consistently high-quality information within tight deadlines
  • Good in analytical and numerical skills with sound financial awareness
  • Aptitude for process improvement, attention to detail, getting to root cause of issues
  • Proactive & adaptable/Proven ability to meet deadlines/Team player
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude to support a constructive working environment
