Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static & Rotating)
The objective of the position is to define the mechanical engineering work scope as related to design and specification of fixed and rotating equipment for the project.
This position is responsible for the discipline engineering activities and provide technical inputs to the design, engineering, fabrication and installation of onshore mechanical Equipment’s packages projects scope; with focus on the successful execution of project on time, within budget and in accordance with the agreed project requirements, specifications and standards.
Job description
  • Ensure all project information related to design, procurement and construction is accurate and timely, meets the relevant standards and specifications and is made available to the project team in line with the required schedule. 
  • Responsible for the design of mechanical equipment packages and development of mechanical specifications, datasheets and technical requisitions for mechanical equipment packages (Static/Rotory).
  • Responsible for the design of static equipment packages (Separators, Tanks, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Scrubbers etc.) and development of static equipment specifications, datasheets and technical requisitions.
  • Support the preliminary and detailed engineering development of mechanical equipment as required by the project.
  • Ensure adequate flexibility and design margins are accounted for within design of mechanical equipment items.
  • Review and communicate progress of the mechanical engineering design deliverables and performance
  • Expedite, review and comment on material requisitions, bid evaluations & vendor technical documentation for mechanical equipment items and related bulk materials.
  • Interdisciplinary check of PFD, P&ID’s and Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation drawings.
  • Provide technical support as part of a team working on various engineering projects, which include oil and gas processing plant fixed equipments’, pressure vessel design and analysis, fitness for service assessments, and operational problem solving.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in mainly oil and gas FEED/ Detailed Engineering design, layout and construction support projects.
  • Experience in brown field plants modifications
  • Familiar with all types of FEED and EPIC deliverables, equipment, design and construction progress reviews.
  • Very good written and spoken English with good communication skills
