Are you our new Senior System Test Lead in TechnipFMC, Kuala Lumpur?

At TechnipFMC, we deliver critical projects of a scale, scope and difficulty that you simply won’t find anywhere else. We are looking for an experienced Senior System Test Lead in TechnipFMC who can join our multicultural team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.



Provide technical, operational and commercial support to the System Test Lead in all the testing job stage – Preparation, Execution and Close Out.

Responsible for on and offsite system testing coordination, planning, preparation, execution and test leadership. The goal is to ensure testing activities (individual and system) are executed safely, within budget, on-time and with client satisfaction. This is achieved through extensive planning, coordination with engineering teams, project management, third party services and Client representatives.


The main scope of the Senior System Test Lead are always being the main point of contact for all Test related activities, with communication from our own Internal stakeholders, Clients and Sub-Contractor (Fabricators).

In many occasions, the Test activities are executed in remote locations with many limitations ranging from logistics, technical and resources support.

To execute the Test scope within the stipulated budget with the possibility of costs savings to the project.

To complete the Test activities within the planned test durations.

Main HSE and Quality driver and have a Goal Zero mindset in prevention any major incidents.

Adhering to the test principles and ensuring all quality issues are captured during testing and closed out after SIT to prevent any operation failures during the installation campaign.

New testing scope that the department has undertook to further maximize it’s working capacity such as Xtree Site Receival Test, Xtree/ Manifold Preventive Storage & Maintenance and Xtree / Manifold Deck Testing which have never been in the department scope.


1. Oversee and support projects executed by System Test Lead.

2. Support System Test Manager on project tenders (if needed)

3. Manage and execute system testing within allocated budget.

4. Responsible for safe and on time delivery of system testing communicated from project leaders, direct or indirect managers.

5. Serve as focal point between TechnipFMC and Client during testing planning and execution phases.

6. Responsible for providing System test execution guidelines documentation and planning of Test site layout drawing.

7. Responsible to prepare system test proposals by working with Engineering, Project management and quotation team.

8. Supervise and administer safety program at testing site.

9. Interface with Quality assurance to ensure non-conformance reporting process is followed.

10. Coordinate equipment and personnel movements to and from testing location.

11. Responsible for execution of test activities in accordance to test procedures.

12. Ensure all test documentation is maintained and submitted as required.

13. Responsible to generate and provide comprehensive System Test Report.

14. Coordinate project closeout activities with Client as required.

15. Coordinate all activities with Third Party Services

16. Coordinate and host all on-site visitors

17. Promote a positive HSE environment within the test site and portray a strong HSE leadership.

18. Provide technical and operational support to System Test Leads

Profile Requirements:

1. Degree in Engineering OR equivalent years’ experience with minimum 3 years offshore experience AND 6 years experience in subsea product, project execution, subsea operations and equipment testing experience in the oil industry and equivalent area.

2. Possess effective leadership ability (motivating, planning, negotiating and interpersonal communication skills)with diverse (multi- cultural, multi-disciplined) team environment.

3. Embodies a customer-oriented attitude and the ability to work independently without close supervision.

4. Capable of developing schedule, quoting and test.

5. Flexible to relocate to remote and non-remote location and travel frequently for extended periods of time in filed environment (5-30 days periods)

6. Possess good PC skills and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation software and scheduling software.

7. Fluent in written and spoken English

Additional Information

Working Environment : Describe general working conditions (i.e. noise level, temperature , around heavy machinery)

Spend 50% time in office environment and 50% in shop or onshore testing environment. Exposed to possible hazards inclusing high noise, high pressure testing heavy, lifting and shop/ field traffic.

Physical Demands : Describe amount of frequency of physical requirements of the position (i.e. lifting, pushing, climbing) In a field environment with a fast paced atmosphere with multiple and changing priorities. Frequent travel & high client contact.
