We are looking for a creative and driven Specialist who implement effective HSE Management System & Programs within the specified geographical area in compliance with the requirements established by the Company relevant industry standards (e.g. ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001), and all applicable regulatory requirements.  Job incumbent is expected to support the activities that contribute to the achievement of HSE Compliance & Services objectives and alignment strategies.  Support the business in achieving compliance and partner with the organization to evaluate and improve the HSE Management System effectiveness.  Partner with QMS Compliance & Services team to deliver the integrated Q/HSE Management system program within the specified geographical area.

   

Key responsibilities 

  • Implement the effective Q/HSE Management System & Programs within the specified geographical area in compliance with the requirements established by the Company, relevant industry standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001), and all applicable regulatory requirements in partnership with the GBU/EMS, Local HSE, and

    Shared Services teams

  • Conduct HSE Compliance Internal Audit and Risk-Based Site Assessment Programs from planning to closure; including providing technical expertise/ support/ training to deploy the HSE Programs to the needed sites. Partner with QMS Compliance team and support Quality Internal Audit.
  • Facilitate interactions with external entities (e.g. registrar/ certifying bodies/ agencies) and the organization with respect to Q/HSE compliance requirements.
  • Communicate updates and changes in the HSE external/internal regulatory requirements to the organization, and partner with the business to ensure compliance. 
  • Support, or may be assigned to lead, the efforts to achieve compliance to the new/revised HSE Management System industry standards (e.g. ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001). When requested, support the implementation efforts for Quality industry standards (ISO 9001, API Q1, API Q2).
  • Partner with the GBU/EMS, Local HSE, and Shared Services teams to ensure Q/HSE related compliance activities and requirements are met.

  • Provide technical training to the organization that supports the Q/HSE Compliance strategies (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, information sessions on the regulatory requirements, etc).

  • Support the organization and partner with QMS Compliance team in Q/HSE process development and standardization, including processes and tools within the Q/HSE Compliance and Services team.

  • Provide input for HSE Compliance metrics and summaries and partner with the organization (relevant and applicable sites) to identify actions.

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement efforts in the HSE Management System and services to eliminate waste, reduce cost, and improve HSE performance.

  • Maintain all pertinent and required HSE documentations (e.g. certifications, registrations, permits, which includes uploading & maintenance in the designated Global/Local repository & notification to relevant interested parties.

  • Maintain local administration and super-user of Synergi system and Customer HSE Compliance Database.

  • Support the business HSE activities that contribute to the smooth execution during emergencies in the specific geographical area (e.g. ERT, LIMT).

  • Assist in the coordination of site visits by FM Global and support the site team with risk mitigation plan.

 Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree/ Tertiary Education in related discipline, or equivalent qualification.
  • 2-5 years’ work experience; with preferred experience:

  • - 2+ years HSE experience (management system/ compliance).

  • - 2+ years Quality experience (management system/ operations).

  • - 2+ years in process improvement experience.

  • Internal Auditor from a recognized certification body.

  • Ability to deliver valuable business results (improvement in cost, lead time, quality and operational efficiency).

  •   Ability to build and maintain relationships vertically and horizontally within the organization.

  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Working knowledge in the application of HSE Management Systems, but not limited to HSE regulations, medical and emergency preparedness and response, auditing and assessments, and legal reporting.

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, & OHSAS 18001 Management Systems are essential. 

Added advantages:  

  •  NEBOSH/ CSP/ CSHO or other certifying bodies for HSE certifications.
  • Working knowledge in API Q1 and API Q2 Management Systems.
  • Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
