Mission and Responsibilities
 
As a specialist in concrete and steel structural design, you will be in charge of the design and calculation of the works in the frame of a project. You will work in a design team and report to your business manager. Depending on the technical and budgetary requirements you will need to:
 
- Write basic design data and specifications
- Set and define the conceptual principles for the project
- Collect and analyse data from plot team and other specialties and in particular the loads
- Validate the modelling principles and in particular the action combinations and the loads factors
- Make the pre-sizing calculation notes upstream of the design offices
- Validate the drawings drawn up by the design office for the Detail Engineering subcontractors
- Assist design centres, suppliers and construction companies for the structural design under their responsibilities

- Check and validate the structural calculation notes issued by design centres, suppliers and construction companies

 

Profile
 
Graduate of an engineering school or a university with speciality Civil Engineering/Public works, you have a first experience in structural design office, preferably in the industrial field. You practice the current calculation software (StaadPro, SACS,…) and you are aware of international Codes and standards.

You are mobile for travel abroad, you speak English fluently. Your technical knowledge, your ability to analyse, your autonomy, your relational capabilities will be your main assets to succeed in this position.
