DEPARTMENT:

This position reports to our Area Talent Management Department in Houston, TX.  In partnership with business unit HR leadership, the Talent Management (TM) function creates and implements an integrated approach to talent management including employee engagement, career development, succession planning, and performance management to enhance organizational effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide thorough consultation on all phases of talent management such as succession planning, talent assessments, talent pipelines, selection processes and performance management. Develop mechanisms to monitor the effectiveness of TM activities ensuring service delivery is consistent and in line with standards of performance and key performance metrics.

MAIN TASKS:
• Provides coaching, facilitation, team development and organization capability analysis services in partnership with HR Managers and their respective business leaders to influence the implementation of organization improvement initiatives and ensure achievement of key business objectives.
• Collaborates directly with the business units to enhance business unit effectiveness, team, and individual performance by diagnosing, designing and delivering a wide range of interventions: organizational development, change management, creative problem solving, process improvement, coaching, team facilitation, and leadership development.
• Design and deliver education programs about Talent Management processes to ensure consistency in the area and promote adoption and compliance by all stakeholders (Employees, Managers, and HR Community).
• Prepare, launch, and manage Talent Management campaigns in the area, developing and managing communications. This includes, but is not limited to: Goal setting and Performance appraisal, Talent review and succession planning, Retention and Career Talks, and Corporate leadership and emerging talent programs.
• Promotes link with other entities to further the initiatives on global resource sharing, Area/ Global talent management and Global Mobility teams.
• Partners with Area Learning to meet individual development needs identified through talent management and wider organizational strategy.
• Research best practices for career development for employees about career paths, role-based competencies, ways to assess talent, and strategies to help employees evolve as their jobs evolve.
• Takes a proactive role in change management, diversity and inclusion improvement efforts.
• Utilizes metrics that will identify key business effectiveness, results and ROI.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Organization Development, Human Resources, Business, Communication, or related field required

EXPERIENCE
• 8+ years of experience in Human Resources functions with progressively increasing responsibilities.
• HR generalist experience a plus
• Experience in leading and executing change management initiatives for the HR/Talent Management function in a global company
• High learning agility and able to adapt approach and tactics to new/changing priorities
• Customer centric with a focus on developing and maintaining business relationships
• Strong critical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to analyze situations and data
• Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to influence professionals of senior management level
• Excellent organizational skills, performance consulting, group facilitation, and project management skills
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with external service providers to ensure high quality at the lowest cost
• Solid sense of confidentiality and discretion
• Strong intercultural awareness
• Up to date knowledge of employment legislation, Talent Management, and HR best practices
