Assembly, testing, repair and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation panels at the factory/onsite according to authorized procedures, guidelines and practices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participate openly and enthusiastically in TechnipFMC HSE awareness program and initiatives.
  • Execute work in accordance with workshop service order, job safe analysis, assembly and testing procedures, and TechnipFMC work execution processes.
  • Proactively participate in HSE initiatives and standards including Hazardous Waste Disposal and Air Quality Standards, Start Stops, JSAs and Risk Assessments, and good housekeeping practices regularly. Empowered to stop work activities if work is identified or believed to be executed in an unsafe manner.
  • Ensure safe working practices are adhered to, including good housekeeping
  • Preparation of a job safe analysis (JSA) prior to executing any work activity
  • Ensure work is executed in accordance with workshop service order and authorized assembly and testing procedure 
  • Report any deviations, faults and anomalies to Workshop Lead Technician
  • Engage and interact with QC inspector and lead engineer to discuss any deviations or faults, troubleshooting proposals, and possible corrective solutions
  • Record time spent throughout work execution, on time and correctly.
  • Participate in meetings on request related to workshop execution, HSE, and monthly meetings
  • Execute work requirements in an organized, efficient, and safe manner.
  • Record any deviations or anomalies which are not deemed to require QC inspector input on the service order for future reference, and seek Engineering or Workshop Supervisor sign off.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years minimum assembly and test workshop experience  using mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic tooling and equipment preferably in a petroleum industry related environment.
  • Knowledge in reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience / familiar with using digital multimeter, loop calibrator and megger testing instruments.
  • Experience in assembling and testing of electrical control panels and junction boxes.
  • Experience in installation, testing and wiring of instrumentation devices such as pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, solenoids and switches. Must be familiar with executing work in accordance with authorized procedures, and ability to read and understand hydraulic schematic’s is a benefit.
  • Must have sound understanding of good workshop working practices and strong awareness towards safe working practices.
  • Shows evidence of good organization and some project planning skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Strong in both verbal and written technical communication.
  • Formal Academic training / Certification can be substituted for industry experience.
